A Line in the Water

This body of work, made for City & Guilds of London Art School MA Show in 2015, involved the undertaking of long coastal swims. Various coastlines around the UK were swum and recorded using a head camera. As the sea’s water was opened with outstretched hands, it closed. A journey was made without leaving lasting physical tracks. A recognition of the dispersal of this wake, this track, in the water was the driving force for the making of subsequent work in the studio in recollection and mapping of these swims.
