Uncommon Ground

Remote landscapes on the coasts of Britain were explored: Wales, Scotland, Northumberland. An exploration of Lindisfarne was undertaken where the artist walked the island, swam from a headland and sketched the landscape in the dying winter light. This long-time place of pilgrimage lent poetic contemplation to continuing interrogations of place, weather and memory.
