Six Sussex Swims

Six etchings, A5 in size, made to the scale of 1:25,000 O.S. maps, depict embossed coastlines swum between Cuckmere Haven and Hastings Pier. The tonal sea recalls the swirl of water experienced, whilst the blanked landmass emphasizes the artist’s focus on the sea’s horizon. A new kind of mapping, this series asserts that wild encounters with the natural elements can be easily found.
